Letter of the week

Ex Prime Minister Tony Blair has just published his memoirs, 700 pages long, causing a furore in the British Labour party…

A Guardian reader comments:

“700 pages seems excessive. I’ll remember Blair in one sentence, spoken by an Afghan farmer and reported in the Guardian last September: ‘I couldn’t find my son, so I took a piece of flesh home and I called it my son.”
